Pickin' Pumpkins
Today the girls and I went to a pumpkin patch with some people in our new ward. A family in the stake grows pumpkins every year and anyone can go and pick as many pumpkins as you want. The pumpkins are free, but they take donations for the perpetual education fund. We had already gotten the girls some pumpkins, but I thought it would be good for us to go and meet some new people in the ward. I was just excited that I was invited, because it is always hard going to a new ward and meeting new people. The girls had a lot of fun picking out their pumpkins. Next year we will have to go sooner, because there weren't a lot to choose from (not that the girls cared!). I'm glad we went, because we met some really nice people in our ward.

SisTeRs
Just within the past couple months, Madi and Ellie have been playing so well together. It is so fun to see how much they love each other. Ellie just copies everything that Madi does, good or bad!! Madi can be a little pest at times, but I guess that's to be expected. We keep telling Madi that one of these days Ellie is going to be bigger than her and is going to get her back for everything!! Hopefully they will always be good friends since they are so close in age.

I found them sitting in the laundry basket one day. Madi was reading Ellie a story... it was so cute.

Just giving each other a hug!!

The other day we went to Wal-mart and they just started walking hand in hand. Lucky for me I had my camera in my diaper bag. We had so many people stop to tell us how cute they were, and I just have to agree.

Tuckered Out
We have worn the girls out with all of the moving stuff going on. We have been staying up late and haven't quite gotten our normal routine down. One morning Ellie and Madi were playing with puzzles and I looked over and saw Ellie just laying on the counter. It was a very good clue that she was ready for a nap. (Notice that I hadn't even gotten her out of her PJ's yet!!!)

Madi has decided since we have moved that she doesn't need a nap.....so she thinks. Those of you who know Madi, know that she never sits still and is always so busy. I have found her asleep on the couch on a couple of occasions. I'll be fixing dinner and look over and she's asleep. The problem is it's too late for her to take a nap, yet she's so tired we can't wake her up. Therefore, she is up until midnight because she isn't tired after her late nap!!! We are trying to get her back into her napping routine in the afternoon instead of dinner time, but it's not working so well. I would be fine with her not taking a nap, but as you can see she still needs them!!! Also, at my parents house, we all slept in the very dark basement without windows. Now that we are in our house my girls are not used to the light in their rooms( I think this is part of the problem with Madi not wanting to take a nap). Madi came into my room the first morning after staying in our new house. She came in and told me that someone turned a light on in her room and woke her up. I was a little confused and wondered if Mike turned it on before he went to work, or if maybe she was up in the night and turned it on. I went in and there was no light on in her room...it was the sun coming through the window. I explained that it is a lot brighter in her room now and that the sun would probably be waking her up every morning now. We did put blinds on her window that night and it did help a little. That darn sun!!!

We've moved...Finally!!
It has been a busy couple of weeks around here. As most of you know we have lived with my parents for the last 14 months while trying to sell our house in Las Vegas. We finally found some renters in Vegas, and decided to build a house here. We moved in 2 weeks ago and have been busy unpacking and getting everything in order. We are almost there, just a few more things to put on the walls, and we also need to paint Madi's room. I will post more pictures when I get our room and Madi's room all done. I will also get a better picture of the outside, it was a little dark when I tried to take the picture. We all absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE our house.

Ellie's 18 month stats
Ellie had her 18 month appointment yesterday. She is healthy and happy as can be.
Weight: 24.8 pounds which is the 65th percentile
Height: 32 inches which is the 55th percentile
Head: I forgot how many inches, but it was the 50th percentile
She had to get two shots, but only cried for a second. I think Madi cried for Ellie longer than Ellie cried for herself- what a sweet sister!!
I just had to add these cute pictures of Ellie. She has always been a good, but messy eater. It is quite the process to clean her up after each meal, but it's hard to complain when you look at that face!!
